During 14-15 November 2018, Academy of Justice in cooperation with GIZ is delivering a training on International legal cooperation and organized crime.
This training will cover the following: modern measures of trans-border investigation; hearing of witnesses – the tree-steps model and strategies, including presentation of claims by defense attorneys/ video conference hearing/ emphasis on endangering of witnesses (anonyms witnesses), covert investigation in foreign land – learning from a concrete case (smuggling and unlawful dissemination of medicine with prescription); insurance; combination with other secret measures; Joint Investigation Teams – legal basis as obstacle; experiences, challenges, and best practices; Standards: concrete agreements for JIT, including the content data; Practical case (terrorism) / experiences with the requests of the cause, overview of the cross border supervision/ controlled deliveries/ interception of the telephone communications; combating organized crime: the strategy, best practices and recommendations related to the regional degree.
Beneficiaries of this training are: judges, prosecutors, officials from the Ministry of Justice, and Kosovo Police.
