Managing Board Meeting

On 1^{st of} June 2017 in Prishtina – was held the third meeting of the Managing Board of the Academy of Justice, chaired by the Managing Board Chairperson, Chief State Prosecutor Mr. Aleksandër Lumezi

During this meeting, initially the Board took the decision for commencement of the procedure for appointment of the Executive Director of the Academy of Justice, in accordance with the Regulation on Appointment and Dismissal of the Executive Director of the Academy of Justice and based on the principles of civil service.

Due to implementation of this process, Managing Board established the Commission for Selection Procedure of the Executive Director of the Academy of Justice.

Furthermore, the Managing Board reviewed and approved several recommendations and regulations drafted and proposed by the Commission for Normative Matters of the Academy of Justice. Whereas, the Regulation on the Work of the Academy’s Managing Board and the Regulation of the Initial Training Program were approved and estimated as regulations of a great importance for the work and functioning of the Academy of Justice.   

Subsequently, the Managing Board also reviewed and approved the draft budget of the Academy of Justice for 2017, as well as the planning for 2019 and 2020. This draft budget was estimated as very necessary for the implementation of the legal mandate and functioning of the Academy of Justice, in particular for the implementation of the transformation process of the Kosovo Judicial Institute into the Academy of Justice

While reviewing the draft budget, discussions were oriented toward the need to support the request for construction of the Academy’ building.
