Pristina, 12 September 2018, senior representatives of the Academy of Justice welcomed in a meeting representatives of the European Union in Kosovo, led by Mr. Luigi Brusa, Head of the EU Office for Cooperation in Kosovo, and officials from the Ministry of European Integration.
Purpose of this visit was a closer acquaintance with the work of the Academy of Justice and challenges that it faces while carrying out its legally foreseen functions.
Representatives of the European Union, were particularly interested about the working conditions of the Academy and expressed their readiness for support in this direction, being interested particularly about the building project of the Academy, which is prepared by the Engineering Department of the Ministry of the Public Administration, and the possibility to have this project involved in funding construction of the Academy of Justices building within the scope of the IPA projects.
Academy of justice’s representatives outlined the need to additional space, particularly after changes of the Academy’s legal mandate, and increase of the number of the personnel, beneficiaries and activities.
During this visit, the delegation accompanied by MPA representatives, visited the location that municipality of Pristina has allocated for construction of the buildings for different state institutions, a location where the Academy of Justice’s building is planned to be constructed.
