On 16 October 2019, the Academy of Justice within the Initial Training Program for newly appointed prosecutors, developed a practical training at the Kosovo Customs.
The purpose of this training was to enhance the knowledge of the newly appointed prosecutors on the role, the mission, the work and structure, as well as the activities carried out by the Kosovo Customs.
Therefore, within this practical training were covered topics related directed to the combat of illegal activities, border crimes, combating drug trafficking and preventing smuggling of nuclear weapons and explosive substances.
Also during the training were elaborated different topics of the interest of the newly appointed prosecutors with a special emphasis on customs tax, value added tax, excise of the consolidated budget of Kosovo, export and import control, protection of the economy and trademarks.
The training was developed through theoretical explanation and interactive discussions where newly appointed prosecutors had the opportunity to ask questions on different areas related to the training subject.
Beneficiaries of this training are the newly appointed prosecutors (generation VIII) 2019-2020.
