Environmental crimes, legal and EU framework
On December 1 and 12, 2023, the Academy of Justice in cooperation with the School of Magistrates of Albania and the work of the Era Academy in Trier, within the framework of joint activities for students of two languages, are conducting training in Tirana on: "Environmental crimes".
The training purpose was the advancement of knowledge as related to EU and national law in cases of criminal offenses against the environment as well as the exchange of arguments and best practices in the problems and meritorious solutions of the cases.
The training will initially operate in EU law, in relation to the EU environmental crime directive, its policies and their role for all types of areas of law as well as EU bodies and ECJ practices. . -'s. All these issues will be elaborated by the ERA Academy as Michael Faure, Professor of Comparative and International Environmental Law, University of Maastricht, Grazia Maria Vagliasindi, Associate Professor of Law, University of Catania as well as Remus Jurj, Associate Professor, Maritime University of Constanta, once a former Prosecutor, member of the European Network of Prosecutors for the Environment.
The training continued with the a discussion about Albanian jurisprudence regarding the investigation and trial of environmental crime cases, which is done in detail by Mrs. Elvana Çiçolli, the joint council of the Administrative Appeal in Tirana and then also from the Kosovar perspective by Mr. Afrm Shala, judge of the Supreme Court of Kosovo. U.D. of the Chief State Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo Mr. Besim Kelmendi.
This is following the 15 training of Albania from Kosovo by all instances and regions of Kosovo as well as the 11 government from Kosovo.
