Sub-module: Witnesses and victims in criminal proceedings; Second session - general overview of the witnesses

On September 28, 2023, Academy of Justice within the Initial Training Program for the newly appointed judges of the tenth generation, is conducting the second theoretical training session under the module "Witnesses and victims in criminal proceedings" with trainer Mr. Valon Kurtaj, judge at the Basic Court in Pristina-Special Department.

This training session is addressing the following: witnesses in a criminal trial, types of witnesses in general and according to the CPCRK, the witness - witnesses waived from the obligation to testify, testifying in a criminal process, in the preliminary procedure and in judicial examination, and the right non-incrimination of the witness or his relatives.

The training methodology is interactive discussions method and practical cases.

Beneficiaries of the training are 29 newly appointed judges including one member from the Bosnian community and one from the Turkish community.
