Sub-module: Expertise and analysis, second session: The expert and his procedural position in criminal proceedings

On November 13, 2023, the Academy of Law, within the framework of the Initial Program, for the newly appointed prosecutors of the tenth generation, is carrying out the theoretical training under the "Expertise and analysis" module, in support of the trainer Mr. Armend Hamiti, prosecutor in the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Pristina.

In the framework of this session, the following are being addressed: the meaning of the notion of expert, the difference between an expert, a witness and a professional person, the ability of a person to be an expert in criminal proceedings, the reasons for the exclusion of an expert in criminal proceedings and the obligations, rights and responsibilities of the expert in criminal procedure.

The training methodology is being developed through the interactive method and practical cases.

Beneficiaries of the training are 21 newly appointed prosecutors 2023/2024.
